Q2. Why should I buy a one-piece dance-pole?

Polestar one piece dance-poles have no joins so you will not be flexing at the joints or “snagging” yourself on a join as you might if you use other multi-part dance-poles.

Q3. Any other reasons for choosing the Polestar dance-pole?

The Polestar removable dance-pole is adjusted at floor level, unlike many other poles where the final installation adjustment is made at the top of the pole.

Q4. What if I have measured my ceiling height incorrectly?

The adjustable foot supplied can add up to 75mm (3 inches) to the lengthy of the dance-pole if required. We cater for a certain amount of inaccuracy when we cut the dance-pole to size. If the dance-pole is too long, it can simply be cut down using a good quality hacksaw.

Q5. How heavy is a standard pole?

The weights of the dance-poles are proportionate to their lengths. As a guide a 2.4m (8 feet) dance-pole weighs 8kgs approximately. This is less than half the weight of some multi-part poles on the market.

Q6. Do I need any other tools other than those provided?

If you have a plaster-board ceiling you will need to find a ceiling joist, as you would with any dance pole. An electronic joist finder is useful for this purpose. DIY hardware stores, like B&Q, sell them for approximately £10. A spirit level is also handy - but not necessary - for making sure the pole is vertical.

Q7. Can the dance-pole be lengthened in any way?

A 400mm (16 inch) long threaded adjuster is available, together with a variety of small extensions that you can screw on to the length-adjuster, when a small amount of additional length is required.
